Payment & Warrants
Payments are accepted through the mail to PO Box 738, Yoakum, TX 77995
or may be made in person at 808 U.S. Hwy 77-A South.
1.  Payments mailed must be received on or before your court appearance date or     
a warrant will be issued for your arrest.  If a warrant or capias profine is issued, an
additional $50.00 warrant fee and $100.00 failure to appear fine will be assessed
plus the court cost.

2.  Payment in the form of a money order, must be made payable to the City of
Yoakum.  Make certain that the amount is sufficient to pay the fine.  All incorrect
money orders will be returned and the case will remain open.

3.  Write the citation number on the money order to insure that the payment is
applied to the correct case.

4.  To pay by mail, use the information on the courtesy letter given to you by the
Police Officer at the time the citation was issued.

5.  You must use the courtesy letter and enter a PLEA and mail it with your payment.
If you enter a PLEA of “NOT GUILTY” and desire a trial, please follow the “NOT
GUILTY” information on the
courtesy letter.
If you fail to appear in court as provided by law for the prosecution of your offense(s)
or fail to properly dispose of your case, a warrant will be issued for your arrest, which
will also carry a fine, warrant fee and court cost in addition to the cost of your original
offense.

up by the police or any other authorized law enforcement.
