IMPORTANT REMINDERS
The City of Yoakum would like to remind property owners that any
trees growing on their property or between the curbline and sidewalk
adjacent to their property, are required to be trimmed and maintained
as provided in Sections 18-24, 18-26, and 18-29 of Chapter 18 in the
Yoakum Code of Ordinances.  Branches, limbs, or foliage of any tree or
plant which overhangs or grows over the curb and/or street must be
trimmed to allow at least eight (8) feet clearance above street level at
the curbline and graduate toward the center of the street to a clearance
of at least twelve (12) above the street level.

Overhanging limbs not meeting these requirements are subject to be
trimmed by City crews.  We appreciate your cooperation in helping to
improve the flow of traffic throughout Yoakum and your assistance to
lessen the damage to vehicles passing under these branches.
