REQUEST FOR BIDS - 2024 Brush and Lumber Grinding Project

 The City of Yoakum is requesting sealed bids for the grinding/chipping of lumber and brush.  Lumber and brush shall be ground separately.   Bids will be accepted until 3:00 P.M., Thursday, May 2, 2024. 
The City of Yoakum reserves the right to reduce the quantities contracted to stay within the City’s budgeted dollar amount. 
The City of Yoakum reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informality in the bidding and to accept the bid deemed most advantageous to the City.

The City of Yoakum is receiving sealed bids for “MATERIALS USED IN STREET CONSTRUCTION AND REPAIR” for the Public Works Department.
Bid forms, specifications, and Standard Bidding Provisions are available by contacting the City Clerk, City Hall, 808 Hwy 77A South, PO Box 738, Yoakum, TX. 77995.
Bids will be accepted until 3:00 P.M., Thursday, May 2, 2024 at which time all bids will be publicly opened and tabulated.
The City of Yoakum reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informality in bidding and to accept the bid or bids deemed most advantageous to the City.

REQUEST FOR BIDS - 2024 City of Yoakum Street Improvements Project

Separate sealed bids for seal coating of approximately 57,570 square yards of streets in the City of Yoakum will be received by the City Clerk at Yoakum City Hall, 808 US HWY 77-A South, PO Box 738, Yoakum, Texas 77995, until 3:00 P.M., Thursday, May 2, 2024. Bid envelopes should be clearly marked "2024 City of Yoakum Street Improvement Project." Said bids will be publicly opened in the Conference Room in City Hall and read aloud. Bids will be reviewed and presented for award to the City Council at their meeting of May 14, 2024. 
The information for Bidders, Form of Bid, Form of Contract, Plans, Specifications, and Forms of Bid Bond, Performance and Payment Bond, and other contract documents will be available for examination beginning April 10, 2024 at the Yoakum City Hall. Copies may be obtained from the office of the City Clerk. 
Each bidder must deposit with his bid, security in the amount, form and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders. No bidder may withdraw his bid within thirty (30) days after the actual date of the opening thereof. 
The City of Yoakum reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities in bidding and to accept the bid or bids deemed most advantageous to the City.

USED/SURPLUS EQUIPMENT BID NOTICE

The City of Yoakum utilizes a web-based system for surplus equipment in an effort to streamline the bidding process. Bids may be submitted online by visiting www.govdeals.com/cityofyoakum.

Surplus equipment may be placed on the site periodically and may be viewed and bid on by the public at any time on an auction-basis.  Surplus items not placed on the GovDeals.com website will be published in the newspaper and notices sent via U.S. Postal service to those bidders on the City’s bidders list as outlined by State statutes.

We encourage you to visit the website often to view any newly listed items up for bid.  All items shall be sold “as is”.   Sales tax will be added to the bid amount at the time of payment on all items other than vehicles.  

The City of Yoakum reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities.  Successful bidders are expected to honor the submitted bid amount.
