23rd - READING PROGRAM REGISTRATION BEGINS
24th - 10:00 - 11:30 a.m. - Senior Citizens Center - Coffee, Conversation, and Your Favorite Game (must pre-register 361-293-5001)
27th - LIBRARY IS CLOSED FOR MEMORIAL DAY
29th - 2:30 pm - Texas Floating Classroom Traveling Bay @ Grand Theater - FREE ADMISSION TO ALL - this starts the 2024 Summer Edutainment Programs

June 2024:
6/3 to 6/7 - All week @ the Library - Design a camping theme puzzle piece to make a large collaborative puzzle for the library wall throughout the summer.
5th - 2:30 p.m. - Yoakum Grand Theater - Bobby Cordell Magic Show - FREE ADMISSION
6/10 to 6/14 - All week @ the Library - Paint kindness rocks to add to the library's front flowerbed
12th - 2:30 p.m. - Yoakum Grand Theater - Talewise - "Science Heroes Adventure of the Lost Treasure" - FREE ADMISSION
13th - 10:00 a.m. - at the Library - PRE-TEENS/TEENS (ages 10-17) - Melted Crayon Art - FREE to attend - pre-register by calling the library at 361-293-5001 (registration begins 6/3)
14th - LAST DAY TO REGISTER FOR THE READING PROGRAM
6/17 to 6/21 - All week @ the Library - Potholder Looming - Make a potholder and take it home with you.
19th - LIBRARY IS CLOSED ALL DAY IN OBSERVANCE OF JUNETEENTH
20th - 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. - at the Library - Whimsical Watercolors for Adults - FREE to attend - pre-register by calling the library at 361-293-5001 (registration begins 6/3)
6/24 to 6/28 - All week @ the Library - STEM week - enjoy building with marble mazes, wooden planks, and magna tiles
25th - 10:00 a.m. - at the Library - The Tortoise and the Hare Preschool Story Time - pre-register by calling the library at 361-293-5001 (registration begins 6/3)
26th - 2:30 p.m. - Yoakum Grand Theater - Zoomagination - FREE ADMISSION
28th - 10:00 - 11:30 a.m. - @ the Senior Citizen's Center (105 Kvinta Drive, Yoakum) - National Bingo Day (must pre-register 361-293-5001)

July 2024:
7/1 to 7/5 - All week @ the Library - Color your own bookmark to take home
1st - Bookmark Contest begins for all ages - entry packets may now be picked up at the library
2nd - 2:00 p.m. - at the Library - PRE-TEENS/TEENS (ages 10-17) - Cooking Lab - FREE to attend - pre-register by calling the library at 361-293-5001 (registration begins 6/17)
3rd - 2:30 p.m. - Yoakum Grand Theater - Storybook Theatre presents: "Goldifox and the Two Hares" - FREE ADMISSION
4th - LIBRARY IS CLOSED ALL DAY IN OBSERVANCE OF INDEPENDENCE DAY
7/8 to 7/12 - All week @ the Library - Create a work of art using colored sand in bottles or on paper
9th - 2:00 p.m. - at the Library - Magic Workshop with Magician John O'Bryant - open to ages 7 and up - FREE to attend - pre-register by calling the library at 361-293-5001 (registration begins 6/17) - space is limited!
10th - 2:30 p.m. - Yoakum Grand Theater - Professor Suds Crazy Bubble Show - FREE ADMISSION

15th - National Gummy Worm Day - All Day - Check out a book and receive a FREE bag of gummy worms
16th - 10:00 a.m. - at the Library - "A Camping We Will Go" Preschool Story Time - pre-register by calling the library at 361-293-5001 (registration begins 6/17)
17th - 2:30 p.m. - Yoakum Grand Theater - Creepy Crawlers - Reptiles, Arachnids, and other species found in nature - FREE ADMISSION

19th - before 5:30 p.m. - Bookmark contest entries must be turned in on or before this date for judging.
24th - 2:30 p.m. - at the Library - Bonzo Crunch Fool at Large, Reading Awards, Bookmark Contest Winners, Raffle Drawings, FREE ice cream to go for everyone
