City of Yoakum Charter Review Committee

The City of Yoakum is accepting applications for volunteers to assist with the revision of the City of Yoakum Charter. Qualifying applicants may go to the City of Yoakum website to download an application. Completed applications may be submitted to the City Clerk by email at tbowe@cityofyoakum.org, may be delivered to the City of Yoakum City Hall at 808 Hwy 77A South, or may be mailed to City Hall, attention to the City Clerk, at PO Box 738, Yoakum, TX. 77995.

Qualifications to be appointed to the Committee including: be at least 21 years of age, a registered voter of the City of Yoakum, currently residing within the corporate city limits of Yoakum and lived within the corporate city limits of Yoakum for at least six-months prior to appointment, have a high school diploma or equivalent, have a valid State of Texas ID, and be available for monthly meetings as necessary to complete the review.  Applications will be accepted through March 28, 2024 and be reviewed by City Council at their April 9^th meeting for consideration.

Citizen input and consideration is vital to success of developing the revised City of Yoakum Charter. Help us build a foundation that will create a structure that will encourage our community’s ability to thrive.
